Today, social networks have become a normal part of our lives. And this is certainly not without certain negatives, but true. It is clear that moderating them is not easy, and their content is not always suitable for everyone. This is also why the majority of them have an age limit, usually 13 years old. But there are voices that even this is still too young.

sociálních sítí je dnes mnoho

The truth is that we find everything on social networks, and unlike others, here we can not even filter posts and comments that contain content that is suitable for adults and content that is suitable for children. This is also why many experts warn against them, especially when it comes to children.

The problem is that parents often consider the Internet a safe place, because nothing happens to the child here. There is no risk that he will be kidnapped or injured. Therefore, even if you look at the children outside like an eye in a barrel, let them do virtually anything on the Internet, including logging on to social networks. Here we must say the fact that the user is really over 13 years old, no one has checked and the children know it well.

sociální sítě nejsou pro děti

So it’s a question of whether it’s unwise to raise this age to, say, 15 or 18, and conditionally access your id card. Sure, in an international social network where each country has its own kind of identification, this will be difficult, but it seems to be the only way to protect our children.

Whether we like it or not, in fact, the Internet and social networks in particular are not as secure as we think. True, our offspring can only sit at a computer or mobile, but at the same time communicate with a complete stranger and tell him about your personal information and when the house will be empty during the holidays. But do not blame the child for this – he still has no reason. All responsibility lies with you for not taking good care of him.
