Even these days, people want to set up their own websites. Sure, there are still those who prefer the good old classic web, as it has been replaced more and more by social media accounts, but with far more freedom of expression. However, it is not surprising that the vast majority of websites, especially personal websites, will soon come to an end. In many cases, it is even for the same reasons.
Usually things start out very promising. Someone comes up with the idea for a website and launches it. Nowadays, many providers offer the opportunity to launch a website for free, and you can even launch it for free. This is another reason why many people do so. They can have their own website and it won\’t cost them a penny.
But in reality, it often works the same way. First, there is a lot of progress, posts are added fairly frequently, and the site is flooded with ideas that can be implemented. These posts are often of very high quality and attract a significant number of readers. Of course, one needs to consider whether one is writing only in Czech for Czech readers or in English for foreign readers.
But sooner or later, ideas run out. Suddenly there is nothing left to write about, or your interests change. Here we have two choices: change the focus of the website or gradually abandon it. And usually we unconsciously choose the second option. The former means starting from scratch and losing a significant portion of our readership, which no one wants.
As a result, less and less is added to the site and eventually it is abandoned. This means that readers will begin to abandon the site as well. Readers, too, will have no reason to stay if nothing new appears on the site. And so, eventually, the website disappears into the abyss of the Internet. And there are more websites on the Internet than we think.
